Site Description: The Scarborough Hospital (TSH) is Canada’s largest urban community hospital, delivering innovative, high-quality patient care, advocating for community health, and leading in research and education. Position: Security Supervisor

City: Scarborough, ON

Status: Full Time

Pay Rate: $22.00/hr

Hours: Continental Days (0700-1900 hrs)

In this role, you will provide proactive and reactive security patrols, respond to incidents, write reports, investigate routine incidents, and respond efficiently to emergencies. You should have excellent customer service skills and be able to work under stress or provide medical assistance. Physical fitness to stand and walk for long periods is essential.

Position Overview: The Security Supervisor oversees security staff activities and performance across healthcare sites, representing Paladin Security and the hospital facility.

Essential Job Functions:

• Provide leadership, coaching, and training
• Ensure adherence to policies and scheduled activities
• Plan and manage shift schedules
• Ensure staff receive mandatory training
• Motivate staff and recognize achievements
• Discipline staff when necessary with proper documentation
• Manage attendance, conduct security audits, and investigate incidents
• Communicate concerns/issues with the Client Service Manager

Requirements:

• At least two years’ healthcare security experience in a team lead role
• Post-secondary education in law enforcement/security from a recognized college
• Knowledge of Trespass to Property Act and Mental Health Act
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Punctuality, reliability, tact, and diplomacy
• IAHSS certification
