Job summary

Kinross Gold Corporation, at the Great Bear Project in Red Lake, Ontario, seeks a Security Superintendent to lead security programs across exploration, construction, camp operations, and underground development. You will oversee access control, CCTV, incident management, and contractor security while aligning with Kinross Safeground principles.

Qualifications

• Degree in Security Management, Law Enforcement, Emergency Management, Criminal Justice, or related field.
• 10+ years experience in industrial security, law enforcement, or high-risk operations.
• Experience managing or overseeing contract security services.
• Familiarity with CCTV systems, alarms, access control, and security reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve the site security program and procedures.
• Oversee access control, badging, visitor management, and contractor security compliance.
• Coordinate security coverage for high-risk activities and critical infrastructure.
• Lead investigations into security incidents and coordinate with HR, HSS, and external agencies.
• Develop Site Security Plan (SSP) and Security Event Response Plan (SERP).
• Lead contractor onboarding, performance reviews, and security-related training.
