Job summary

Gowest Gold Ltd. seeks a Fixed-Term Casual Security Guard to protect personnel and assets at the Frankfield Property, southwest of Timmins, Ontario. Reporting to the Emergency Response Coordinator / Security Supervisor, you will provide coverage when others are away and be available day and night, weekends, and holidays.

This role emphasizes strict security protocols, incident investigations, and prompt reporting, with no guaranteed hours and a rotating schedule as needed.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in law and security or equivalent with a minimum 1 year of security experience.
• Mandatory PSISA training and testing to obtain Security Guard license.
• Current Advanced First Aid, AED, and CPR certifications.
• Valid Class G driver’s license and ability to work varied shifts.
• Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and enforce security protocols for personnel, vehicles and materials entering or leaving the site.
• Provide inductions and supervision for personnel on site.
• Investigate incidents and report findings per security protocol.
• Respond to alarms and emergencies and direct workforce during incidents.
• Document information clearly on forms or logbooks and produce security reports.
