Job summary

Allied Universal Security Services is seeking a reliable Security Professional - Gatehouse Guard in Bolton, Ontario. This part-time role runs Monday to Friday from 9:30am to 1:30pm, with duties including site surveillance, access control, and incident reporting.

Qualifications include 1-2 years in gatehouse operations, Ontario Security License, valid 18+ age, and strong computer/typing skills, plus customer service and communication abilities. CPR/First Aid and a high school diploma are required.

• Must be at least 18 years old or above for insurance purposes
• Must have good knowledge of computer and typing skills
• Great customer service and communication skills
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience
• Must be eligible to work in Canada up to 40 hours a week
• First Aid and CPR

Responsibilities

• Site Surveillance & Patrol: Perform regular patrols of the site and surrounding areas to ensure the security of the premises.
• Visibility & Coverage: Maintain high visibility at the designated posts. Ensure security coverage near sensitive areas within the site.
• Access Control: Enforce site access protocols by verifying the identification of authorized personnel, logging visitor entry and exit, and ensuring that gates and doors remain securely locked when not in use.
• Communication: Maintain clear and constant communication via radio with other security personnel. Report incidents, unusual activities, or security concerns promptly.
• Emergency Response: Respond quickly and appropriately to any emergencies, including medical incidents, fires, or security breaches. Contact emergency services and assist as necessary.
• Incident Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of all security activities, incidents, and patrols. Complete shift reports and provide detailed handover notes for the next shift.
• Site & Asset Protection: Prevent theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access to site materials and equipment. Ensure all property is secured at all times.
• Compliance with Safety Procedures: Ensure adherence to all safety policies and procedures on-site, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) by all personnel.
• General Security Duties: Ensure the overall safety and security of the site and surrounding areas by addressing any security risks or safety concerns that arise during the shift.
