Job summary

Sun Life Financial is seeking a Security Platform Engineer with 3–4 years in IT and at least 3 years in information security to join our growing security platform team in an agile environment. You will plan, deploy and manage technologies that monitor and protect sensitive data, and participate in 24x7 on-call duties.

Responsibilities include deploying new security controls, maintaining playbooks and policies, and educating teams on BAU tasks while ensuring seamless handoffs at project close.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years experience in information technology with at least 3 years in information security.
• Experience with enterprise security platform technologies and agile environments.
• Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Support and manage existing security technologies (CrowdStrike, Netskope, Semperis).
• Contribute to security initiatives and deploy new security controls.
• Participate in 24x7 on-call for major incidents and provide incident response.
• Document and improve security playbooks, policies and knowledge bases.
