Job summary

Gore Mutual is hiring a Manager of Security Operations to protect the organization’s information systems and networks, leading the Enterprise Security team. You will manage incident response, IAM governance, threat intelligence, and operational visibility across the company.

The role requires 10+ years in cybersecurity with strong leadership, and involves collaboration with multiple departments, vendors, and offices in Ontario and Western Canada.

Qualifications

• Community college degree in Computer Engineering or Information Security.
• 10+ years experience in incident response, cyber incident response, and security operations.
• Experience in identity and access management and governance.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST CSF, PCI DSS).
• Proven team leadership, mentoring, and coaching skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee MDR vendor performance and ensure SLAs are met.
• Ensure security team coverage, capacity and incident response readiness.
• Develop and maintain incident response plans and playbooks.
• Own IAM tooling, data, metrics and reports; lead IAM modernization.
• Lead threat intelligence efforts and keep teams updated on threats and risks.
• Develop dashboards and reports to provide operational visibility across security teams.
• Co-own physical security incident response with Facilities and Shared Services.
• Deliver security program updates to senior leadership.
