Job summary

Fairmont Empress in Victoria, BC is seeking a dedicated Security Officer Unrestricted (Full-time) to safeguard guests, staff, and property. You will greet visitors, respond to inquiries, and report incidents following our standards.

You’ll perform interior and exterior patrols, act as First Aid Attendant, and collaborate with local security forces. The role requires a BST certificate and BC Security License, fluency in English, and flexibility for all shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a customer service related position.
• BST certificate and Valid BC Security License or willingness to obtain a Security License.
• First Aid Intermediate 2.
• Bondable.
• Completely fluent English language skills, both written and verbal.
• Must be available for all shifts including evenings, overnight shifts and weekends.
• Clear, professional and helpful communication in person and over the phone.
• Team player with excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
• A high level of responsibility and ability to work well independently with minimal supervision.
• Commitment to provide excellent service and exceed guests' expectations.
• Impeccable grooming and presentation.
