Located at Cobequid Pass Rest Area: 209 NS-104, Londonderry, NS B0M 1M0, this site sees thousands of travelers daily. The role involves maintaining safety through patrols, monitoring surveillance, controlling access, and enforcing protocols.

Position Details:

• Full-Time Security Guard
• Location: Cobequid Pass
• Overtime: After 48 hours weekly
• Hours: 4 on, 4 off rotational shifts, 12-hour shifts
• Pay rate: $20.63/hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Patrol premises, monitor surveillance, control access, and enforce security policies.
• Provide excellent customer service and respond to inquiries.
• Write reports and communicate site activities via radios and computer applications.

Requirements:

• Ability to obtain a Security License for Nova Scotia.
• Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C
• Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
• Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor.
• Physical ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods.
• Comfortable handling emergency situations involving trauma, aggression, or intoxication.
• Proficiency in report writing, using technology, and communication tools.
• Certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) or willingness to complete training.
• Legally authorized to work in Canada.
