Security Guard Supervisor at Regal Security Inc.

Position: Full time, Permanent

Location: Mississauga, Ontario

Salary: $25 per hour, 30 hours a week

Responsibilities:

1. Team Oversight: Ensure security teams follow company policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
2. Training: Provide new guards with on-the-job training, clarifying roles, responsibilities, and emergency protocols.
3. Monitoring: Watch surveillance, alarms, and access systems for breaches or suspicious activity.
4. Patrols: Regularly patrol premises to deter security threats and maintain visibility.
5. Emergency Plans: Create and share response plans for fires, emergencies, and breaches.
6. Emergency Coordination: Manage emergency responses, prioritizing safety of staff and property.
7. Reporting: Document incidents accurately and promptly, maintaining detailed logs.
8. Record Keeping: Maintain thorough records of daily tasks and incidents.
9. Client Communication: Regularly interact with clients to address security needs and concerns.
10. Updates: Keep clients informed about security operations and incidents.
11. Evaluations: Evaluate guards' performance, offering feedback and improvement areas.
12. Training: Identify training needs and growth opportunities for security staff.
13. Regulation Knowledge: Stay current with security-related laws and regulations.
14. Compliance: Ensure security practices adhere to legal requirements and industry standards.
15. Conflict Resolution: Handle conflicts calmly among guards and the public.
16. De-escalation: Implement strategies for tense situations, maintaining security.
17. Improvement: Identify ways to enhance security operations through technology and process.

Qualifications:

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

• 1 year to less than 2 years

• Strong leadership and management skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
