Qualifications

• Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident status.
• Fluent in English and French, written and spoken.
• Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence.
• Valid First Aid & CPR Certification.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required site clearances.
• Must have resided in Canada for the past five years.
• Flexible availability including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to travel between multiple client locations.
• Reliable transportation strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide security coverage at various client locations.
• Travel between different sites to support operations.
• Fill vacant posts and provide relief coverage.
• Conduct regular patrols and security inspections.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies.
• Identify and report suspicious activity and safety hazards.
• Complete accurate occurrence and incident reports.
• Follow site orders, procedures, and client requirements.
• Maintain professional security presence and customer service.

Security Guard Bilingual Rover

Location: Ottawa, Ontario
Compensation: $19.28/hour
Employment Type: Part-Time
Availability: Monday to Sunday, including weekends and holidays

Important Clearance Requirement

Candidates must have continuously resided in Canada for a minimum of five (5) years to qualify for the required site clearance.

Position Overview

Allied Universal is currently seeking a professional, reliable, and flexible Bilingual Rover Security Guard to join our team in Ottawa, Ontario.

The Rover Security Guard will provide security coverage at multiple client locations and may be assigned to different sites based on operational requirements. This position is ideal for an individual who enjoys working in different environments and can quickly adapt to changing assignments.

The successful candidate must be comfortable travelling between assigned locations, covering open posts, responding to staffing needs, and following site-specific procedures and post orders.

Strong communication skills in both English and French, excellent customer service, reliability, and the ability to work independently are essential for this position.

Mandatory Requirements

• Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident
• Fluent in English and French, both written and verbal
• Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence
• Valid First Aid & CPR Certification
• Ability to obtain and maintain all required site clearances
• Must have continuously resided in Canada for the past five (5) years
• Flexible availability, including weekdays, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts
• Ability to travel between multiple assigned locations
• Reliable transportation is strongly preferred due to the nature of the Rover position

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous security guard experience
• Experience working at multiple security sites
• Experience with mobile patrols or rover security assignments
• Strong access control and surveillance skills
• Experience preparing incident and occurrence reports
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to adapt quickly to different sites and environments
• Strong situational awareness and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Basic computer and report-writing skills

Key Responsibilities

• Provide security coverage at various assigned client locations
• Travel between different sites as required to support operational needs
• Fill vacant security posts and provide relief coverage
• Conduct regular patrols and security inspections
• Monitor access points and verify employee, visitor, and contractor credentials
• Respond to security incidents, alarms, and emergencies
• Identify and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, and security concerns
• Complete accurate occurrence and incident reports
• Follow site-specific post orders, procedures, and client requirements
• Maintain a professional and visible security presence
• Provide professional customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and contractors
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, site management, and emergency services when required
• Remain flexible and prepared to work at different locations based on operational requirements
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
