Security Guard – Corporate Site(French and English Bilingual)

Location: Downtown Toronto, ONPay Rate: $18.13 per hourEmployment Type: Full-TimeSchedule: Various shifts between 0815 – 1645Language Requirement: French and English Bilingual

Overview

Allied Universal is seeking a professional, customer-focused, and highly motivated Security Guard to join our team at a high-profile corporate site in downtown Toronto.

The successful candidate will provide a professional security presence while supporting a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and contractors. Strong communication and customer service skills are essential, as the Security Guard will interact with a diverse range of individuals throughout the day.

Bilingual proficiency in both French and English is mandatory for this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional and visible security presence throughout the site.
• Monitor and control access to the facility in accordance with site procedures.
• Greet and assist employees, visitors, contractors, and clients in a professional manner.
• Conduct regular patrols and security inspections of assigned areas.
• Monitor CCTV and other security systems as required.
• Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, emergencies, and security-related concerns.
• Prepare accurate and detailed daily activity reports and incident reports.
• Enforce site policies, procedures, and security protocols.
• Assist with emergency response procedures, including fire and life-safety emergencies.
• Communicate effectively with site management, client representatives, and emergency services when required.
• Provide customer service and assistance in both French and English.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive information.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Security Supervisor or Site Manager.

Qualifications

• Valid Ontario Security Guard License.
• Fluent in both French and English – mandatory.
• Previous security experience in a corporate, commercial, government, or similar environment is an asset.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional appearance and excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
• Strong observation and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Basic computer skills and ability to complete electronic reports.
• Valid First Aid/CPR certification is an asset.
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
• Minimum 18 years of age.
