Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking Professional Security Guards in Hamilton, Ontario. The position is part-time with Saturdays and Sundays (12:00 - 00:00) shifts, paying CAD 20.00 per hour.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of patrolling experience, proficiency with access control systems, and Ontario security guard licensing. Responsibilities include access control, professional conduct, incident de-escalation, patrols, and adherence to post orders.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with access control systems and alarm.
• Minimum 1 year of patrolling experience.
• Experience with report writing and note-taking.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ontario security guard license required.
• Must be eligible to work in Canada up to 40 hours per week.
• First Aid and CPR - Level C.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent/GED.

Responsibilities

• Access control for the facility/area.
• Present a polished, professional image at all times.
• Ability to manage conflicts and incidents and to deescalate.
• Patrolling and following post orders; indoor or outdoor patrols.
• Follow emergency procedures during alarms and site emergencies.
• Undertake site-specific training and follow directions from Site Supervisor or Manager.
• Demonstrate good judgment and decision-making in emergencies.
• Meticulous record keeping and report writing; strong written/verbal communication.
• Operate CCTV and security room equipment.
• Perform in-car/vehicle patrols.

Job Title: Security Guard

Job Location: Hamilton, ON

Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour

Shifts: Part-Time: Saturdays & Sundays (12:00 - 00:00), Afternoon/Evening Shifts.

Requirements:

• Familiarity with access control systems and alarm.


• Minimum 1 year of patrolling experience


• Experience with report writing and note-taking.

• Valid Ontario security guard license


• Must be eligible to work in Canada upto 40hours per week.


• Valid First Aid and CPR - Level C


• Must be at least 18 years old.


• High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience

Specific Duties Performed and Essential Functions :

• Access control for the facility/area


• Present a polished, professional, customer friendly image at all times


• Ability to manage conflicts and incidents and to deescalate


• Patrolling and following protocols as per the post orders, which may include indoor or outdoor patrols, etc.


• Ensure that the facility’s safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to fire alarms and other site Emergencies


• Undertake site specific training, follow direction and guidance from Site Supervisor or Manager


• Demonstrate goodjudgment, common sense and decision-making ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents


• Meticulous record keeping, report writing, observation skills excellent verbal and written communication skills


• Operate/monitor security room equipment including but not not limited to computers, CCTV cameras, radio, etc.


• Perform in-car/vehicle patrols
