Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking Professional Security Guards in Hamilton, Ontario. Job title is Security Guard with pay rate of $17.85 per hour. Shifts are Monday to Friday nights, 11 pm–7 am.

Duties include access control, patrolling, incident reporting, and responding to emergencies. Requirements include a valid Ontario security guard license, eligibility to work up to 40 hours per week, First Aid/CPR Level C, and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with access control systems and alarm systems.
• Experience with report writing and note-taking.
• Knowledge of CCTV monitoring systems.
• First Aid and CPR - Level C certificates.

Responsibilities

• Manage access control for the facility/area.
• Present a polished, professional image at all times.
• Deescalate conflicts and incidents when needed.
• Patrol indoors and outdoors according to post orders.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed during emergencies.
• Follow Site Supervisor guidance and complete training.
• Document incidents with meticulous record keeping and reporting.
• Operate security room equipment: CCTV, radio, computers.
• Perform in-car/vehicle patrols.

Job Title: Security Guard

Job Location: Hamilton, ON

Pay Rate: $17.85 per hour

Shifts: Mondays - Fridays; (11 pm - 7 am), Night Shifts

Requirements

• Familiarity with access control systems and alarm .

• Must be eligible to work in Canada upto 40 hours per week.
• First Aid and CPR - Level C
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience

Specific Duties Performed And Essential Functions

• Access control for the facility/area
• Present a polished, professional, customer friendly image at all times
• Ability to manage conflicts and incidents and to deescalate
• Patrolling and following protocols as per the post orders, which may include indoor or outdoor patrols, etc.
• Ensure that the facility’s safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to fire alarms and other site Emergencies
• Undertake site specific training, follow direction and guidance from Site Supervisor or Manager
• Demonstrate good judgment, common sense and decision-making ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents
• Meticulous record keeping, report writing, observation skills excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Operate/monitor security room equipment including but not limited to computers, CCTV cameras, radio, etc.
• Perform in-car/vehicle patrols
