Job summary

SMS Security is seeking reliable, customer-focused part-time security guards to join our team at residential condominium properties throughout the Greater Toronto Area. Flexible shifts include days, evenings, nights, and weekends.

You will provide concierge-level service, monitor CCTV and alarms, conduct patrols, manage access control, respond to emergencies, and complete incident reports while maintaining a professional presence.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of security experience.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and respond effectively under pressure.
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
• Schedule flexibility required.

Responsibilities

• Perform concierge duties and provide exceptional customer service
• Monitor CCTV cameras and alarm systems to detect and prevent security issues
• Conduct regular patrols of assigned properties, both interior and exterior
• Maintain a visible and professional presence to deter incidents and support a safe environment
• Respond to emergencies including fire alarms, medical situations, and elevator entrapments
• Complete accurate incident reports and daily occurrence logs in a timely manner
• Manage parcel and delivery handling, including logging, verification, and distribution
• Greet and assist visitors while managing access control to the property
• Enforce property rules, site policies, and applicable municipal by-laws
• Maintain communication with site supervisors and management as required
• Other duties as assigned

Responsibilities
