Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Guard in Waterloo, Ontario to provide front-line security services with a professional demeanor and strong customer service skills.

The role requires patrolling both inside and outside the facility, managing access control, completing incident reports, and maintaining safety procedures. A valid G2/G license, First Aid/CPR, and eligibility to work in Canada are required.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with access control systems and alarms.
• Experience with report writing and note-taking.
• Knowledge of CCTV monitoring systems.
• Must have a valid G2 or G driver's license and access to own vehicle.
• Must be eligible to work in Canada.
• Valid First Aid and CPR is mandatory.
• High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience

Responsibilities

• Patrol interior and exterior of the facility, and monitor for signs of security incidents.
• Manage access control for facility areas.
• Document shift activities and complete incident reports.
• Present a professional, customer-friendly image at all times.
• De-escalate conflicts and incidents when needed.
• Follow safety and emergency procedures during alarms or events.
• Participate in site-specific training and cooperate with supervisors and clients.
• Maintain meticulous record-keeping and clear written communications.
• Operate security room equipment and complete required training

Allied Universal is seeking Security Guard in Waterloo, Ontario.

Job Title: Security Guard -Part Time

Job Location: Waterloo, ON

Pay Rate: $19.34 per hour

Shifts : Varying shifts; flexible availability is required.

• Must be comfortable driving for extended periods.
• Must be eligible to work in Canada.
• Valid First Aid and CPR is mandatory.

Specific Duties Performed and Essential Functions :

• Patrol interior and exterior of facility, looking for signs of illegal / criminal activity, vagrancy, theft, property damage.
• Access control for the facility/area
• Document shift activities in Daily Activity Report; complete incident reports with AUS mobile team.
• Present a polished, professional, customer friendly image at all times
• Ability to manage conflicts and incidents and to deescalate
• Ensure that the facility’s safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to fire alarms and other site Emergencies
• Undertake site specific training, follow direction and guidance from Site Supervisor, client representatives, Account Manager (or designate)
• Demonstrate goodjudgment, common sense and decision-making ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents
• Meticulous record keeping, report writing, observation skills excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Operate/monitor security room equipment, Completion of site required training
