Job summary

Securitas Canada Limited is seeking a professional Security Guard to join our team in the Greater Toronto Area on weekend shifts. This role focuses on access control, visitor verification, and maintaining security presence across client sites.

You will perform wand searches, respond to incidents, and complete hourly reports while upholding client policies. The position offers opportunities across multiple sites and a pathway to full-time, with uniforms provided and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence and First Aid and CPR Certificate.
• 3–4 years of security experience, preferably at high-security sites.
• Able to work Saturdays and Sundays and maintain reliability.
• Strong communication, professional appearance, and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

Securitas Canada is looking for professional and reliable Security Guards to join our team across a variety of client sites throughout the Greater Toronto area

This posting is for a vacancy in North York, ON.

Shift: Saturday and Sunday 1500-2300hrs

Our Security Guards can work in a range of environments, and we are now looking for Security Guards to work in High Profile Data Centres across the Greater Toronto Area. We are looking for individuals for permanent part-time weekends.

What You Will Do:

• Control access to the site and verify visitors, employees, contractors.
• Wand search and metal detection
• Control access to restricted areas within the facility.
• Maintain accurate daily activity and incident reports
• Respond to incidents and emergencies in accordance with site procedures
• Enforce client and site-specific security policies
• Provide professional customer service to employees, visitors, contractors.
• Maintain a visible security presence
• Perform other security-related duties as assigned

What We Need from You:

• Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence and First Aid and CPR Certificate
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• 3-4 years of security experience, preferably with high level security sites.
• Professional appearance and positive attitude
• Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
• Strong observation and attention to detail
• Ability to complete written reports accurately
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to sit and stand in a quiet environment.
• Be able to meet the requirements for a Reliability Clearance through the Fedral Government of Canada.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Previous security experience is an asset, but qualified candidates with a strong customer-service background are encouraged to apply.
