Job description

As a Healthcare Security Guard, you will be responsible for working with a small, dedicated team to deliver the exceptional service Paladin provides. You will report directly to the site’s Lead Hand when it comes to fulfilling the responsibilities of the role, as well as any documentation/reports from incidents during your shift.

Paladin Security is looking to fill 10 Full time positions in the Kingston and Belleville locations

Job Description

• Maintain a professional, visible security presence
• Greet, assist, and direct the public
• Protect clients, staff, buildings, and assets
• Work independently and as part of a team
• Conduct interior/exterior patrols and respond to emergencies
• Document and report incidents, investigate as required
• Perform patient watches and enforce hospital policies/by-laws
• Manage access control, keys, and parking enforcement
• Support monthly safety inspections and other assigned duties
• Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Valid First Aid & CPR – Level C Certificate (from WSIB-approved provider)
• Ability to be clean shaven to pass an N95 Mask Fit Test
• Proof of COVID-19 Vaccine (minimum double vaccination)
• A copy of your immunization records (Measles, Mumps, Rubella [MMR], Varicella, Pertussis, and TB Skin Tests – Step 1 & 2)

• Ability to clear a Vulnerable Sector Check (during onboarding)

• English proficiency (oral & written) required
• 6+ months of customer service experience is considered an asset
• Authorized to legally work in Canada
• Valid Ontario Security License
  First Aid, CPR Level C

Additional Information:

Hours: | 8-12 hours, continental shifts/rotating days & nights
Payrate: | $18.35/hour – $22.61/hour

Overtime Method: | Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours
