Job summary

Commissionaires BC is seeking a Security Guard for an Intermediate First Aid/OFA 2 site in Richmond. You will ensure safety and security while delivering excellent client service. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 7am–3pm, with a pay rate of $26.50/hour.

Responsibilities include access control, patrols, CCTV monitoring, and acting as a first responder with First Aid. This role offers growth opportunities within a not-for-profit security organization.

Qualifications

• Valid BC Security License is required.
• Intermediate First Aid/OFA 2 certification is required.
• Canadian residency of 5+ years for clearance.
• Experience with CCTV and access control systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide access control and issue passes as required.
• Conduct regular patrols of the property on foot.
• Monitor and safeguard people, property, buildings, and equipment.
• Actively monitor CCTV systems to detect threats and respond.
• Serve as a first responder with immediate First Aid.
• Answer phone calls and direct inquiries to appropriate parties.
• Report incidents with detailed investigation reports.

Job description

We are seeking a Security Guard to join our team at an Intermediate First Aid/OFA 2 site in Richmond. You will play a key role in ensuring the safety and security of the property while providing excellent customer service to our clients.

Schedule: Monday to Friday 7am till 3pm

Payrate: $26.50/hour

Some of your responsibilities include:

• Deliver exceptional customer service to clients, ensuring a positive experience
• Provide access control and issue passes as required
• Conduct regular patrols of the property and grounds, on foot
• Monitor and safeguard people, property, buildings, and equipment
• Actively monitor CCTV systems to detect and respond to security threats
• Serve as a first responder in emergencies, providing immediate First Aid to employees
• Answer phone calls and direct inquiries to the appropriate parties
• Report incidents to the Site Lead and submit detailed investigation reports

Your Must-Haves:

• Valid BC Security License
• Intermediate First Aid/OFA 2 certification
• Have lived in Canada for the last 5 or more years for clearance eligibility
• Experience with CCTV and access control systems
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
