Job summary

Securitas Canada is hiring Security Guards to support client sites across the Greater Toronto Area. You will monitor and patrol properties, control access, and respond to incidents while delivering professional customer service.

Applicants must hold an Ontario Security Guard Licence and First Aid/CPR, with strong communication, observation, and report-writing skills. Some positions require a G licence, and open availability is preferred for day, afternoon, night, and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and patrol the assigned property
• Control access to the site and verify visitors, employees, contractors, and deliveries
• Monitor CCTV and alarm systems
• Maintain accurate daily activity and incident reports
• Respond to incidents and emergencies per site procedures
• Conduct regular patrols and inspections
• Enforce client and site-specific security policies
• Provide professional customer service to employees, visitors, students, contractors, and the public
• Maintain a visible security presence
• Contact emergency services when required
• Perform other security-related duties as assigned

Securitas Canada is looking for professional and reliable Security Guards to join our team across a variety of client sites throughout the Greater Toronto Area.

What You Will Do

Pay rates range from $18.35 to $26.78 per hour, depending on the assignment, location, experience, licensing requirements, and site responsibilities.

Please note: Assignment availability, pay rate, hours, and site requirements vary by location, experience and client.

• Monitor and patrol the assigned property
• Control access to the site and verify visitors, employees, contractors, and deliveries

• Maintain accurate daily activity and incident reports
• Respond to incidents and emergencies in accordance with site procedures
• Conduct regular patrols and inspections
• Enforce client and site-specific security policies
• Provide professional customer service to employees, visitors, students, contractors, and members of the public
• Maintain a visible security presence
• Contact emergency services when required
• Perform other security-related duties as assigned

What We Need From You

• Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence and First Aid and CPR Certificate
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Professional appearance and positive attitude
• Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
• Strong observation and attention to detail
• Ability to complete written reports accurately
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Previous security experience is an asset, but qualified candidates with a combination of strong customer-service and security backgrounds are encouraged to apply for more experienced roles.
• Some positions will require applicants to hold a G class drivers licence due to the use of company vehicles on site.
• Priority will be given to candidates with OPEN availability for days, afternoons, night and weekend shifts and their own vehicle with a G2 or G licence.
