Allied Universal in Vancouver, BC is hiring a Security Guard - High Rise (Casual) to provide diligent security at client sites. The role focuses on foot patrols, monitoring for suspicious activity, and quick incident reporting to keep environments safe and welcoming.

Ideal candidates hold a valid BC security guard license, demonstrate strong communication and customer service, and can operate basic wireless technology.

Qualifications

• Valid BC security guard license.
• Display exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Have intermediate computer skills to operate wireless technology at client sites.
• Experience with report writing and note-taking.
• Must be eligible to work in Canada.
• First Aid and CPR.
• Must be 18+ years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods, climb stairs, and lift or carry up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Conduct foot patrols of buildings and surrounding areas.
• Monitor and report suspicious activities and persons.
• Prevent and detect thefts or vandalism.
• Write detailed incident reports and maintain daily logs.
• Enforce rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Resolve conflicts calmly and effectively.
• Use radios and cell phones to communicate with team members.
• Follow emergency procedures and respond to alarms.
• Ensure safety and security protocols are upheld.
