Job summary

Gruppo Terroni in downtown Toronto is seeking a part-time Security Guard to monitor entrances of a 3-story, 500-seat restaurant and ensure guest and staff safety. Immediate start with night shifts, weekends, and statutory holidays.

You will also provide excellent customer service by liaising with guests and management. The role requires CPR/First Aid and Smart Serve certs, strong communication, and a professional appearance.

Qualifications

• CPR and first aid certification required.
• Smart Serve certification required.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Restaurant or hospitality experience is an asset.
• Professional appearance and well-groomed.

Responsibilities

• Monitor entrances and protect guests and staff.
• Provide excellent guest service and liaise with management.
• Work predominantly night shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Gruppo Terroni is seeking part-time Security Guards to join our team at the Terroni Adelaide location in downtown Toronto. Since 1992, the Gruppo Terroni philosophy of doing business, core values and commitment to providing the best in food, wine, and customer service along with an authentic passion for Italian culture has proven itself with the test of time. Our family run business has now grown over the years into a multi-faceted operation encompassing restaurants, bakeries, commissaries and retail in Toronto and Los Angeles, operating under the brands Terroni, Sud Forno, Spaccio, Cavinona Wine Agency and La Bottega di Terroni online shop.

Description of Role:

Reporting to the Head of Security, Gruppo Terroni your primary responsibility will be to monitor the entrances and the physical 3 story, 500 seat restaurant to ensure the safety of our guests and employees. You will also provide an excellent customer service experience by liaising with our restaurant guests and management team. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast paced environment, interacting with guests and brings a positive and professional work ethic. Shifts for this position are predominantly at night, including weekends and statutory holidays.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Valid CPR / First Aid Certificate
• Valid Smart Serve Certificate
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Restaurant / hospitality experience an asset
• Well groomed and professional appearance
