Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Security Guard to ensure safety and security on a Post Secondary Education site in the GTA. This full-time position offers competitive pay and benefits, with rotating shifts including days, nights, and weekends.

Responsibilities

1. Provide reliable security services across campus, ensuring safety of students, staff, and visitors.
2. Understand and demonstrate campus security policies and procedures with a customer service approach.
3. Build positive relationships within the college community and respond effectively during emergencies.
4. Conduct proactive patrols, monitor security systems, and respond to alarms and incidents.
5. Write detailed incident reports and liaise with emergency services when necessary.
6. Control access points and monitor the premises to prevent unauthorized entry.
7. Assist during crises, providing first aid and support as required.
8. Maintain security equipment and report unsafe conditions.

Qualifications

• Valid Ontario Security Guard License
• Valid WSIB-approved First Aid & CPR Level C Certificate
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination (two doses)
• Valid G or G2 Ontario Driver’s License
• Physical ability to perform walking, standing, and weather exposure
• Ability to use two-way radios and computer applications
• Legally authorized to work in Canada
