Securitas Canada Limited is seeking professional and reliable Security Guards for long-term temporary work at data centre construction sites in Markham, ON. The role focuses on patrols, access control, CCTV monitoring, and incident reporting with a strong emphasis on customer service and professionalism.

Ideal candidates hold a valid Ontario Security Guard Licence and First Aid/CPR, with openness to day, evening, night, and weekend shifts.

Securitas Canada is looking for professional and reliable Security Guards to join our team across a data centre construction.

This posting is for multiple vacancies in Markham, ON for data centre construction in the area 404 and Steeles.

What You Will Do:

Pay rate for this long-term temporary position is $20.00 per hour.

• Monitor and patrol the assigned property

• Control access to the site and verify visitors, employees, contractors, and deliveries

• Monitor CCTV and alarm systems

• Maintain accurate daily activity and incident reports

• Respond to incidents and emergencies in accordance with site procedures

• Conduct regular patrols and inspections

• Enforce client and site-specific security policies

• Provide professional customer service to employees, visitors, students, contractors, and members of the public

• Maintain a visible security presence

• Contact emergency services when required

• Perform other security-related duties as assigned

What We Need from You:

• Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence and First Aid and CPR Certificate

• Strong communication and customer service skills

• Be able to work inside and outside in cold and warm conditions.

• Professional appearance and positive attitude

• Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations

• Strong observation and attention to detail

• Ability to complete written reports accurately

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Reliable attendance and punctuality.

• Previous security experience is an asset, but qualified candidates with a strong customer-service background are encouraged to apply for more experienced roles.

• Priority will be given to candidates with OPEN availability for days, afternoons, nights and weekend shifts and their own vehicle with a G2 or G licence.

Construction Site Security

• Perimeter and site patrols

• Trespasser deterrence including gatehouse duties.
