Position Details

• Position: Full-Time Security Guard
• Site: North York General Hospital Leslie
• Overtime: Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours
• Hours: Continental Rotation - 0700-1900/1900-0700
• Payrate: $20.03/hour
• Posting Date: May 7, 2025
• Internal Closing Date: May 13, 2025
• External Closing Date: May 21, 2025

Key Responsibilities

• Patrol hospital grounds and monitor surveillance systems to ensure safety and security.
• Control access points, respond to emergencies, and assist hospital staff during crises.
• Provide customer service to visitors, patients, and staff, and handle conflicts professionally.
• Document incidents accurately and collaborate with hospital staff and law enforcement.
• Enforce hospital policies and address violations appropriately.

Prerequisites

• Valid Security License for Ontario
• Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C
• Covid Vaccine (two doses) and immunization records for Mumps, Measles, Rubella, Varicella, and TB
• Valid G class Driver License
• Fluent in English (oral and written)
• Previous security or law enforcement experience preferred
• Certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) or willingness to complete training
• Legal right to work in Canada
