• Position: Full-Time Security Guard
• Site: North York General Hospital Leslie
• Overtime: Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours
• Hours: Continental Rotation - 0700-1900/1900-0700
• Payrate: $20.03/hour

Schedule Example

• Week 1 - Days: Mon-Tues, Fri-Sat
• Week 2 - Days: Sun, Wed-Thu

Key Responsibilities

• Patrol Hospital Grounds: Conduct rounds of premises to ensure safety.
• Monitor Surveillance Systems: Operate cameras and alarm systems, report suspicious activity.
• Access Control: Monitor entry points, authorize access.
• Respond to Emergencies: Act quickly during crises, assist staff.
• Provide Customer Service: Greet and assist visitors, staff, and patients.
• Conflict Resolution: De-escalate tense situations professionally.
• Report Writing: Document incidents accurately.
• Collaboration: Work with hospital staff and law enforcement.
• Enforce Policies: Ensure adherence to hospital protocols.

Prerequisites

• Valid Security License (Ontario)
• First Aid & CPR - Level C
• Covid Vaccine (two doses)
• Immunization records (Mumps, Measles, Rubella, Varicella, TB test)
• G class Driver License
• Fluent in English
• Experience in security/law enforcement preferred
• Certifications in Use of Force and Management of Aggressive Behavior (or willing to train)
• Legal work authorization in Canada
