Title:

Security Guard - Full-Time Night Shifts Downtown

Description:

Paladin Security is seeking experienced Security Officers for a high-rise office tower in downtown Vancouver. Candidates must be available for overnight shifts, though schedules may vary, so open availability is preferred.

As a member of the Paladin Security team, you will receive best-in-class training, earn competitive pay rates ($21.00/hr at this job site), and gain invaluable experience for your career!

Responsibilities:

• Providing exceptional customer service and assistance, and maintaining effective relationships with clients, tenants, and patrons
• Writing clear and detailed reports, including incident, first aid, and daily reports
• Monitoring for and reporting irregularities such as security breaches, facility and safety hazards, and emergency situations, and contacting emergency responders
• Providing first aid and medical response
• Performing regular foot patrols to ensure personnel, building, and equipment security
• Utilizing two-way radios and computer applications to communicate site activities
• Exercising crowd control and evicting trespassers
• Granting or denying access to the facility based on established procedures

Qualifications:

• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Valid BC Security License
• Strong observational skills
• Ability to make immediate decisions while maintaining composure in emergency situations with minimal supervision
• Ability to walk up to 20 km per shift, including stairs and uneven ground, indoors and outdoors
• Exceptional professional deportment
• Legal ability to work in Canada
