Shifts Available: 12 hour continental day & nights schedule - Rotating shifts & Monday to Friday 8 hour shifts (including 12 hour shifts on weekends)

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and patrol assigned areas (on foot or via vehicle) to ensure the safety and security of two properties.
• Control access to restricted areas by verifying credentials and maintaining visitor logs.
• Operate surveillance systems (CCTV), intrusion detection, and access control systems.
• Respond promptly to alarms, security breaches, or emergencies and report incidents in accordance with company procedures.
• Enforce safety and security policies, including contractor and employee compliance with site protocols.
• Conduct site inspections to identify potential security or safety hazards.
• Complete detailed and accurate daily logs, incident reports, and shift summaries.
• Cooperate with emergency response personnel, law enforcement, and internal departments during investigations or emergency events.
• Support risk mitigation efforts and contribute to continuous improvement of the security program.

Qualifications:

• Legally authorized to work in Canada
• Valid Security Guard license
• Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent/post-secondary diploma or degree
• G class drivers license and a Clean Drivers Abstract from last 3 years
• Minimum 1 year security related experience preferred
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills in English
• High level of customer service
• Proficiency with Windows based software and knowledge of PCbased incident reporting software
• Knowledge of access control, CCTV, fire equipment and fire monitoring systems
• Knowledge of relevant Federal, Provincial, Municipal laws and bi-laws
• Position requires the ability to walk/stand/climb stairs for extended periods of time in all weather conditions
• Valid First Aid and CPR Level C Certification
• Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB)
• Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
• Please be aware: The UoF/MOAB training is not paid as it is a pre-requisite, however Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6 month commitment to the position/availability
