Job Description

Allied Universal is seeking Security Professional in Stoney Creek, Ontario.

Job Title: Security Professional

Job Location: Stoney Creek, ON

Job Type: Full-Time

Shift Times: Mon - Fri 3:00pm - 11:00pm (evenings)

Pay Rate: $18.00/hr.

Requirements:

• Valid Ontario security guard license and driving license.
• Must be eligible to work in Canada up to 40 hours per week.
• First Aid and CPR certified.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be computer literate.
• Must be physically fit.
• Comfortable working outside in all weather.
• Familiarity with access control systems and alarm monitoring.
• Experience with report writing and note-taking.
• Knowledge of CCTV monitoring systems.

Specific Duties Performed and Essential Functions:

• Access control for the facility/area.
• Present a polished, professional, customer-friendly image at all times.
• Ability to manage conflicts and incidents and to de-escalate.
• Patrolling and following protocols as per the post orders, which may include indoor or outdoor patrols, managing the movement of guests at various points throughout the property, etc.
• Ensure that the facility’s safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to fire alarms and other site emergencies.
• Undertake site-specific training, follow direction and guidance from Site Supervisor or Manager.
• Demonstrate good judgment, common sense, and decision-making ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents.
• Meticulous record keeping, report writing, observation skills, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Operate/monitor security room equipment and complete site-required training.
