The City of Cambridge is seeking a full-time Security Guard to join the Municipal By-law Compliance and Corporate Security Division. Reporting to the Security Supervisor, the role involves monitoring properties, responding to incidents, and enforcing by-laws.
Requirements include a two-year college diploma in Law and Security or equivalent, and a valid Ontario Security Guard Licence. The position offers a salary range of $68,359–$72,691 and an OMERS pension plan.

We are looking for a full-time Security Guard to join the Municipal By-law Compliance and Corporate Security Division, Planning and Growth Department available immediately. Reporting to the Security Supervisor, the following duties will apply.
Six (6) months to one (1) year experience in the following:
Proof of your current and valid certificate(s) and/or educational qualifications.
Worker Health and Safety Awareness Training certificate from the Ministry of Labour. (may be obtained post offer)
Current and valid Police Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check to be provided prior to commencement in this position.
Valid G driver's license.
This position is within Grade 6 of the inside workers union Salary Schedule and has a salary range of $68,359 - $72,691. We offer a comprehensive benefit package and are an Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System (OMERS) employer.
The regular hours of work will be scheduled on a continental rotating shift as scheduled by the supervisor. Shifts are 11 hours long (10 hours paid with a 1-hour unpaid lunch) and cover 7 days a week 24 hours a day (35 hours per week). Regular hours of work and shifts are subject to change at the discretion of the Supervisor.
