ESO is building a leading security team in Canada. We are looking for a Security Engineering Team Leader to guide engineers, drive secure design, and strengthen our multi-cloud platform across global customers.

The role emphasizes threat modelling, secure coding practices, and collaboration with Product & Technology teams to deliver resilient, compliant systems protecting communities and lifesaving services.

Qualifications

At least 5 years’ experience securing software or infrastructure in cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
Experience applying Well Architected Frameworks (e.g., Azure Well Architected).
Strong networking knowledge and practical security for networks, hosts, apps and cloud deployments.
Experience with security toolchains: asset mgmt, vulnerability mgmt, firewalls, SIEM, PAM, IDS/IPS, EDR/XDR, DLP, SWG, WAF, CSPM, CNAPP.
Proficiency in using threat modelling and secure design across multi-cloud environments.

Responsibilities

Lead our team of Security Engineers, guiding decision making and delivering security consulting across the business.
Collaborate with Product & Technology teams to shape architecture and secure software delivery.
Model threats using STRIDE against new designs and ensure protections are in place.
Mitigate vulnerabilities and evaluate next-gen security technologies across the portfolio.
Address security and compliance issues raised by analysis or automated tools.
Mentor teammates and share security expertise across the organization.
Work shoulder-to-shoulder with engineering teams to embed security in practice.
