Job summary

Long View is seeking a Security Consultant to drive IT security solutions for Canada’s industry leaders from Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton or Toronto. You will apply strong business and technical consulting skills to plan and drive the adoption of security technologies that solve security challenges while delivering the desired outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of multi-technology IT consulting experience.
• Experience delivering Microsoft Security solutions.
• Strong understanding of security architecture patterns.
• Familiarity with NIST 800-53, NIST CSF, CIS controls.
• Cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP / CISM / CISA / CCSP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement Microsoft Defender security solutions in client environments.
• Deploy Defender suites and conduct client workshops upon project completion.
• Produce detailed design documentation and transition artifacts.
• Deliver projects from initiation through to successful implementation.

Do you want to drive IT security solutions for Canada’s industry leaders?

We are looking for a dynamic and results-focused Security Consultant to be located out of Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton or Toronto supporting our Head Office branch. In this role you will utilize strong business and technical consulting skills to plan and drive the adoption of diverse technologies that solve Security challenges while creating the desired outcomes! You will have a deep and experienced understanding of the Microsoft technology stack.

A Day in the Life:

• Implement industry-leading cloud (Microsoft security) technical solutions by understanding client requirements through your savvy consulting skills, both business and technical
• Deploy MS Defender suite into client environments and present client workshops on completion of project
• Provide detailed documentation including conceptual design, logical design, physical design, bill of materials, as-built diagrams, knowledge transfer materials, FAQs, transition to operations information
• As a subject matter expert, you will deliver projects from initiation through to successful implementation
• Implement industry-leading security solutions by understanding client requirements through business and technical consulting skills
• Validate clients' existing architecture, identify gaps and assist the various business and technical teams with gathering their business use cases

What You Bring:

• 5+ years of industry experience with multi-technology solutions and diverse business and technical consulting
• Experience with delivery of Microsoft Security suite
• Technical strength and capability of implementing Microsoft security components (Defender for Cloud, Defender for Identity, Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Office 365, Conditional Access, etc.).
• Strong understanding of security architecture patterns for secure architecture and implementation
• Ability to consult on designs and create implementation plans
• Experience with security frameworks such as NIST 800-53, NIST CSF, CIS, etc for assessing systems and designs

What Makes You Extra Awesome:

• Any one or more cybersecurity certifications: CISSP, CISM, CISA, CCSP
• Proven strength in leading customers and clients to decisions

$80,500 - $105,000 a year

Expected Salary Range is $80,500 - 105,000 plus variable earnings.
