Job summary

American Iron & Metal (AIM) is seeking a Security Officer to perform security duties on the work premises under the supervision of the Security Officers Supervisor. You will control entries and exits, patrol the facilities, and ensure safety and incident response.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required.
• Valid security guard license issued by the appropriate authority.
• First aid certification and CPR card are required.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license.
• Bilingual in French and English (written and spoken).
• Clean criminal record and ability to handle stressful situations calmly.

Responsibilities

• Control entries and exits (visitors, employees, clients).
• Patrol buildings and yard by foot or vehicle.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Protect evidence in case of offenses.
• Ensure premises safety during incidents (fires, medical emergencies, etc.).
• Write reports and logs; conduct searches when needed.

Job Description

Under the supervision of the Security Officers Supervisor, the incumbent will be responsible for performing security duties on the work premises.

What you will be responsible for :

• Controlling entries and exits (visitors, employees, clients)


• Patrolling, on foot or by vehicle, the buildings as well as the yard (AIM Montréal and Laval)


• Assuring excellent Customer service


• Ensuring the protection of evidence in the event of an offense


• Protecting the premises in case of an incident


• Intervening in case of fires, medical emergencies, bomb threats, floods, water leaks, or the presence of hazardous materials


• Writing reports and logs


• Crime prevention


• Locking and unlocking doors


• Conducting searches in case of suspicion


• Performing any other related tasks

Qualifications

• You are able to work shifts: nights, weekends


• You have a high school diploma


• You have a valid security guard license issued by the Bureau de la Sécurité Privée


• You have valid first aid certification


• You have a valid Class 5 driver’s license


• You are bilingual, French and English (written and spoken)


• You have a clean criminal record


• You have the ability to handle stressful situations calmly and rationally


• You have excellent judgment, observation, and communication skills


• You have completed a first aid course and hold your CPR card


• You have good computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
