Job Description

Reporting to the Security Supervisor, the Security Guard will:

• Control entrances and exits (visitors, employees, customers)
• Lock and unlock doors
• Patrol buildings and yard on foot or by vehicle
• Protect evidence and scene of incidents
• Respond to emergencies (fires, medical, bomb threats, floods, hazardous materials)
• Write reports and logs
• Prevent crime
• Conduct searches when necessary
• Perform other related tasks

Qualifications

• Availability for varied shifts, including day, evening, night, and weekends
• High school diploma
• Valid security guard license from the Private Security Bureau
• Valid first aid certification
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license
• Bilingual in French and English
• Clean criminal record
• Ability to remain calm and rational under stress
• Excellent judgment, observation, and communication skills
