Job summary

Cabot Cape Breton seeks a Security Agent to safeguard guests, staff and property. You will patrol the resort, monitor surveillance, and respond promptly to incidents, enforcing policies and assisting guests as needed.

The role requires calm under pressure, sharp observation, and teamwork with local authorities. Seasonal shifts include day, evening, night, and weekends; background checks and CPR/First Aid certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a security role is required.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Defibrillator training is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
• Highly responsible and reliable.
• Ability to stay calm and courteous around guests.

Position Overview

As a Security Agent at Cabot Cape Breton, you will be entrusted with ensuring thesafety and security of our guests, staff, and property. Your role involvespatrolling the premises, monitoring surveillance systems, and respondingpromptly to any security incidents or emergencies. You will enforce resortpolicies, assist guests and employees as needed, and collaborate with localauthorities when necessary. Attention to detail, excellent observation skills,and the ability to remain calm under pressure are essential in this role. Bymaintaining a vigilant presence and providing a sense of security, you willcontribute significantly to the overall well-being and peace of mind ofeveryone at Cabot Cape Breton, fostering a secure environment for our guestsand staff.

Requirements of the role youshould be aware of:

• Based on the nature of our business andthe service we provide to our guests, to work with us, you must consent to acriminal background check as a condition of employment and an additionalcriminal background check every two years.
• As a seasonal resort business, you cananticipate a schedule that will involve day, evening, night, and weekend work.
• Spending long hours moving around, walking, sitting, standing, and crouching while performing other duties
• Occasionally lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling objects up to 50lbs
• Occasional ascending or descendingladders, stairs and ramps
• Ability to work mostly evening andovernight shifts
