Job summary

Techo-Bloc is seeking a Security Agent to protect employees and property across our Chambly and Saint-Hubert locations. You will work 12 AM to 8 AM for 16 hours per week, providing coverage, monitoring, and incident response in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has at least 6 months in security, a valid first aid certification, and a driver’s license with minimal demerit points. You will join a team that values vigilance, reliability, and strong communication to keep our premises

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of experience in security.
• Valid workplace first aid certification.
• Valid driver’s license (no more than three demerit points).
• Ability to lift, move, or handle loads up to 50 lbs with good psychomotor skills.
• Able to stand or walk for extended periods.
• Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset — English is required to communicate with US clients and outside Quebec.

Responsibilities

• Provide coverage in both Chambly and Saint-Hubert locations.
• Proactively detect, monitor, and report potential security threats and notify Security Manager.
• Maintain surveillance of premises using cameras and alarms; respond to alerts.
• Conduct regular patrols inside and outside the facilities, on foot or by vehicle.
• Respond to emergencies (theft, intrusion, fire, etc.) and assist with evacuations and first aid.
• Communicate with emergency services and cooperate with first responders.
• Apply OH&S policies to promote a strong prevention culture.
• Resolve conflicts in collaboration with management.
• Control access to premises; greet visitors and contractors.
• Write clear incident reports documenting events and preserving evidence.
• Perform any other related duties.

Job Description

Reporting to the Chief of Security, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of Techo-Bloc’s employees and property, working alongside a team of dynamic and motivated agents. Our ideal candidate is discreet, courteous, and serves as a role model in applying company policies.

Overview of Responsibilities:

• Provide coverage in both ourChambly and Saint-Hubert locations;
• Act proactively to detect, monitor, and report any potential security threats—dangerous situations, suspicious behavior, or other concerns—promptly notifying the Security Manager;
• Maintain continuous surveillance of the premises using the camera system and alarms (intrusion, fire), and respond quickly to any alerts;
• Conduct regular patrolsinside and outside the facilities, on foot or by vehicle, in accordance with established protocols;
• Respond appropriately in emergency situations (theft, intrusion, altercation, fire, etc.), including physical interventions when necessary (evacuations, first aid);
• Communicate with emergency services as needed and work collaboratively with first responders;
• Apply occupational health and safety policies and procedures to promote a strong prevention culture;
• Resolve conflicts in collaboration with management;
• Control access to the premises, including greeting visitors, suppliers, and other individuals;
• Write clear and detailed incident reports to document events and preserve evidence;
• Perform any other related duties.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months of experience in security;
• Hold a valid workplace first aid certification;
• Possess a valid driver’s license (no more than three demerit points);
• Ability to lift, move, or handle various objects (loads up tp 50 lbs) with strong psychomotor skills;
• Able to stand or walk for extended periods;
• Ability to react quickly and effectively in emergency situations;
• Physically capable of running, kneeling, crouching, moving quickly, and using security equipment;
• Strong skills in analysis, judgment, crisis management, and problem-solving;
• Excellent interpersonal skills: observational skills, self-control, teamwork, and effective communication;
• Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset — English is required to communicate with clients based in the United States and outside of Quebec.
