About The Role

We’re looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Security Advisor - Cryptography to join our best-in-class Data Protection group. You will analyze the impact of quantum computing on cryptographic systems and develop strategies for a secure transition to post-quantum cryptography.

What You'll Do Here

• Conduct research and analysis of quantum algorithms (e.g., Shor's algorithm) and their potential to break existing cryptographic methods.
• Apply advanced knowledge of Cryptography to deliver post-Quantum crypto capabilities, understanding algorithms and the impact of Quantum computing.
• Evaluate security vulnerabilities of current cryptographic protocols and infrastructure against emerging quantum capabilities.
• Identify and assess potential post-quantum cryptography (PQC) algorithms and standards (e.g., NIST PQC competition winners).
• Develop and implement migration strategies for PQC algorithms within systems and products.
• Collaborate with cryptography advisors and developers to integrate PQC solutions.
• Monitor advancements in quantum computing hardware and software and their cryptographic implications.
• Lead development and updates of cryptography standards and guidelines.
• Analyze the performance and security of PQC implementations.
• Stay updated on research in quantum computing and cryptography.
• Communicate complex findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Potentially contribute to new quantum-resistant cryptographic solutions.

What You Bring To The Table

• Solid understanding of classical cryptography (RSA, ECC, AES, TLS).
• Knowledge of quantum mechanics, information theory, and quantum computing.
• Familiarity with quantum algorithms like Shor's and Grover's.
• 6-10 years of experience in cryptographic analysis and security proofs.
• Programming skills in Python, C++, or Java.
• Experience with cryptographic libraries and security frameworks.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills for explaining complex concepts.
• Ability to work independently and in teams.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in computer science or related field with cryptography/quantum focus.
• Experience with post-quantum algorithms and standards.
• Knowledge of quantum computing platforms like Qiskit or Cirq.
• Experience with Hardware Security Modules and Key Management systems.
• Awareness of vulnerabilities and attack vectors in cryptography.
• Research or publications in cryptography or quantum computing are a plus.
• For Quebec candidates, bilingualism is required.
• No Canadian work experience required, but must be eligible to work in Canada.
