Job summary

Rocky Mountain School District No. 6 is accepting external applications for a Secondary Teacher in the Windemere Zone.

This position is temporary and part-time at 0.3 FTE, effective immediately to June 30, 2027, on-site in the Windemere area. Successful applicants must hold or be eligible for a BC Teaching Certificate, have a university teaching major or equivalent, and possess teaching experience in the relevant subject and level.

Qualifications

• Hold or be eligible for a BC Teaching Certificate.
• Have a university teaching major, or its equivalent, directly related to the teaching position; additional qualification as appropriate for specialist positions.
• Have successful teaching experience at the appropriate school level and teaching subject area(s).
• Demonstrate collaboration to meet the needs of all students.
• Show a strong repertoire of assessment and instructional practices to meet diverse learning needs.
• Demonstrate effective communication with students, colleagues and parents.
• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills.
• Have knowledge of and willingness to work with current technology.
• Commitment and capacity to collaborate with district staff to promote positive mental health and social and emotional wellbeing.
