Job summary

Rocky Mountain School District No. 6 is seeking a Secondary Teacher for Math, Sciences, and ADST Explorations on a temporary, part-time basis (0.4286 FTE).

The position runs from September 8, 2026, to January 29, 2027, or return of the incumbent, in British Columbia. Successful applicants must hold or be eligible for a BC Teaching Certificate, possess a university teaching major or equivalent, and have prior teaching experience in the appropriate subject areas.

  • University teaching major or equivalent directly related to the position.
  • Successful teaching experience at the appropriate school level and subject area(s).
  • Commitment to collaboration to meet the needs of all students.
  • Strong repertoire of assessment and instructional practices for diverse learners.
  • Excellent communication with students, colleagues and parents.
  • Knowledge of and willingness to work with current technology.
  • Commitment and capacity to collaborate with district staff to promote positive mental health and social and emotional wellbeing.

Job description

Rocky Mountain School District No. 6 is now accepting external applications for:

Secondary Teacher . Math, Sciences, ADST Explorations

Temporary , part -time ( 0. 4286 FTE)

Effective September 8, 2026, to January 29, 2027, or return of incumbent .

Successful Applicant Must:

  • hold or is eligible for a BC Teaching Certificate;
  • have a university teaching major, or its equivalent, directly related to the teaching position; additional qualification as appropriate for specialist positions;
  • have successful teaching experience at the appropriate school level and teaching subject area(s).
  • have commitment to and capacity for collaboration to meet the needs of all students;
  • have a strong repertoire of assessment and instructional practices and approaches to meet diverse learning needs;
  • have demonstrated effective communication with students, colleagues and parents;
  • have excellent interpersonal skills;
  • have a knowledge of and a willingness to work with current technology.
  • have a commitment and capacity to collaborate with district staff to promote positive mental health and social and emotional wellbeing.
