Expected shift coverage : Mid to closing shift, 12PM - 10PM or 11AM - 9 : 00 PM

Donalda Club, one of Toronto’s premier private clubs, is looking for a skilled and motivated Second Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. As a Second Cook , you will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, assisting in buffet setup and service, and maintaining superior sanitation and food safety standards . You will also play a key role in supporting kitchen operations and ensuring smooth service for our members and guests.

An overview of your responsibilities :

• Responsible for managing the food truck , and working on specialty nights on the Club's patio.
• Prepare menu items according to standardized recipes while ensuring consistency and quality.
• Work closely with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef to execute food production efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked workstation throughout the shift.
• Assist with the setup, decoration, and dismantling of buffets, food stations, and barbecues .
• Adhere to Toronto Public Health food safety regulations and sanitation standards.
• Assist with the receiving, storing, and proper labeling of food and non-food deliveries .
• Monitors and report low inventory levels to the Sous Chef or Executive Chef.
• Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly cleaned and turned off at the end of each shift.
• Support and guide junior kitchen staff and trainees when necessary.

What We’re Looking For :

• 2-3 years of cooking experience in a high-volume, quality-driven kitchen.
• Post-secondary culinary training is required.
• Smart Serve Certificate is preferred, but not required.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and teamwork abilities .
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., work in hot environments (110°F), and perform strenuous labor .
• Availability for all shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays .
