Expected shift coverage: Mid to closing shift, 12PM - 10PM or 11AM - 9:00 PM

Donalda Club, one of Toronto’s premier private clubs, is looking for a skilled and motivated Second Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. As aSecond Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, assisting in buffet setup and service, and maintainingsuperior sanitation and food safety standards. You will also play a key role in supporting kitchen operations and ensuring smooth service for our members and guests.

An overview of your responsibilities:

  • Responsible formanaging the food truck, and working onspecialty nightson the Club's patio.
  • Prepare menu itemsaccording to standardized recipeswhile ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Work closely with theExecutive Chef and Sous Chefto execute food production efficiently.
  • Maintain aclean, organized, and well-stocked workstationthroughout the shift.
  • Assist with thesetup, decoration, and dismantling of buffets, food stations, and barbecues.
  • Adhere toToronto Public Health food safety regulationsand sanitation standards.
  • Assist with thereceiving, storing, and proper labeling of food and non-food deliveries.
  • Monitors and reportlow inventory levelsto the Sous Chef or Executive Chef.
  • Ensure all kitchen equipment is properlycleaned and turned offat the end of each shift.
  • Support and guidejunior kitchen staff and traineeswhen necessary.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 2-3 years of cooking experiencein a high-volume, quality-driven kitchen.
  • Post-secondary culinary trainingis required.
  • Smart Serve Certificateis preferred, but not required.
  • Ability towork efficiently in a fast-paced environmentwhile maintaining quality standards.
  • Strongorganizational skills, attention to detail, and teamwork abilities.
  • Physical ability tolift up to 50 lbs., work in hot environments (110°F), and perform strenuous labor.
  • Availability forall shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
    • Expected shift coverage - (Mid to closing shift, 12PM - 10PM or 11AM - 9:00 PM)
