Job summary

The Crescent Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Second Cook to join our Culinary team in Ontario. You will prepare food items per standardized recipes for restaurant outlets, room service and banquets, while upholding the highest standards of cleanliness and kitchen safety.

The role requires standing for long shifts and readiness to work a variety of shifts. Your keen eye for detail and passion for food will help deliver exceptional guest experiences, with support for pursuing Red Seal certification

Qualifications

• Willing to pursue Red Seal certification or have it.
• Strong attention to detail when preparing foods.
• Passion for delivering high-quality guest experiences.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all food items according to standardized recipes for Restaurants, Room Service and Banquets.
• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation and safety in kitchen areas.
• Assist in various shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Here is what you will be doing each day:

As a Second Cook, you will be working with our Culinary team to ensure consistent high quality food and customer service is delivered. You will be responsible for preparing all food items, based on standardized recipes, for the Restaurants, Room Service, and Banquets, while maintaining the highest standards to produce an appealing and appetizing product. You are also responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, sanitization and safety in the kitchen and work areas.
