Job summary

The Salvation Army in Peterborough, ON is hiring a Seasonal Support Worker for the Christmas program. Qualifications

• Completed High School or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of prior related experience in community-based programs would be a definite asset.
• Strong skills in all Microsoft Office products and good working knowledge of email and internet-based programs.
• Valid Ontario Class “G” Driver’s License, personal vehicle and insurance, with a satisfactory driver’s abstract.

Responsibilities

• Assist with processing, unloading, documenting, and sorting donations of toys and food for the Christmas program and prepare items for distribution.
• Assist with pick-ups of donations from community donors using the program vehicle.
• Help with set up and take down of the Christmas hamper distribution centre and sort toy donations.
• Record statistical data clearly, organized and accurately.
• May assist in the Kettle campaign and other related duties as required.
