Job summary

UPS in Truro, Nova Scotia is seeking a Seasonal Delivery Driver to use your own vehicle to deliver packages in residential areas. The job is outdoor, physical, with lifting and carrying, and requires 3-5 hours per day, Monday to Friday, starting between 10:00 AM and Noon.

Job Summary

This position requires use of one's personal vehicle to deliver packages primarily in residential areas. This position performs in a physical, fast-paced, outdoor position involving continual lifting, lowering, and carrying packages.

Responsibilities:

• Retrieves, loads packages into personal vehicle, and delivers packages to customers.

Qualifications:

• Meets local age and operations requirements to operate a vehicle
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs./32 kgs
• Excellent customer contact and service skills
• Must comply with UPS appearance guidelines and wear the company-provided uniform

Shifts:

Monday to Friday starting between 10:00AM And Noon. You will work 3-5 hours each day with an opportunity for additional hours.

Salary:

$19 hourly

• Must be willing to use personal vehicle to transport and deliver packages

Approved Vehicle Specs:

• Current vehicle registration

• Current vehicle insurance coverage

• Sedans and hatchbacks with 4 doors (mid-size or larger)

• Minivans, SUV’s

• Pick-up trucks must have a covered and secured bed

• Must meet all Provincial and Local regulations
