Job summary

UPS is seeking a Seasonal/Temporary Delivery Driver in the Truro area. The role requires using your own vehicle to deliver packages in residential areas, with physical outdoor work and lifting.

Shifts run Monday to Friday, 3–5 hours per day, starting around 10:00 AM to Noon, with opportunities for more hours. You must provide a vehicle with current registration and insurance, and meet provincial/local regulations.

Job Description:

Job Summary
This position requires use of one’s personal vehicle to deliver packages primarily in residential areas. This position performs in a physical, fast-paced, outdoor position involving continual lifting, lowering, and carrying packages.

Responsibilities:

• Retrieves, loads packages into personal vehicle, and delivers packages to customers.

Qualifications:

• Meets local age and operations requirements to operate a vehicle
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs./32 kgs
• Excellent customer contact and service skills
• Must comply with UPS appearance guidelines and wear the company-provided uniform

Shifts:

Monday to Friday starting between 10:00AM And Noon. You will work 3-5 hours each day with an opportunity for additional hours.

Salary:

$19 hourly

• Must be willing to use personal vehicle to transport and deliver packages

Approved Vehicle Specs:

• Current vehicle registration
• Current vehicle insurance coverage
• Sedans and hatchbacks with 4 doors (mid-size or larger)
• Minivans, SUV’s
• Pick-up trucks must have a covered and secured bed
• Must meet all Provincial and Local regulations
