Job summary

FedEx Logistics Canada is hiring a temporary courier to provide courteous pickup and delivery on an assigned route. You will ensure shipments meet service standards and assist customers with inquiries, while upholding safety and accuracy in all paperwork.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, with no experience required and 1 year of customer service preferred. Seasonal position for up to 12 weeks; shifts are five days a week, Saturday and Sunday mandatory.

Qualifications

• No prior experience needed; 1 year of customer service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous pickup and delivery of packages on assigned route, representing FedEx Canada.
• Check shipments for conformance to FedEx Canada service features and maintain neat paperwork.
• Follow courier best practices, load van and plan efficient routes.
• Seek additional business from current customers and inform sales of leads.
• Ensure proper labeling and accurate paperwork for shipments and shipping materials.
• Operate tracking and dispatch systems to input correct information.
• Answer customer questions about FedEx Canada services and keep customers informed of requirements.
• Operate vehicle safely and in compliance with regulations and procedures.
• May assist with aircraft/container loading/unloading and sorting/scanning as workload dictates.
