Job summary

Marmot Basin is seeking a Lead Snowmaker as part of the Mountain Operations team. The role reports to the Grooming/Snowmaking Supervisor and involves managing staff, training, scheduling, and ensuring compliance with Marmot Basin procedures.

Expect outdoor work in varied winter conditions and a 7-on/7-off style seasonal rotation during the operating season. Responsibilities include coordinating with other departments, maintaining equipment, and ensuring records and training files are up to date.

Qualifications

• Must have supervisory experience leading snowmaking crews.
• Experience operating snowmaking equipment and pumps.
• Strong organizational and computer skills (Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily Snowmaking department operations and staff.
• Collaborate with Supervisor to meet snowmaking objectives.
• Train, schedule, and ensure policy compliance for staff.
• Maintain snowguns and equipment and report issues.
• Coordinate needs with Lift Operations, Safety, and Events.
• Attend Mountain Operations meetings and perform inspections.
• Archive Snowmaking records and documents.
