Essential Responsibilities

1. Perform highway maintenance tasks including crack sealing, asphalt patching, flagging, message painting, etc.
2. Assist with traffic control procedures
3. Perform preventive maintenance and cleaning of equipment
4. Perform other road maintenance duties as required
5. Work outside in all weather conditions

Qualifications

• Successfully complete pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
• Be able to perform physically demanding tasks
• Must possess a valid Class 5 driver's license
• Provide a 3-year driver’s abstract
• Previous experience as a Traffic Controller or Flagging is a strong asset

Work Conditions

• Local applicants may be given preference due to work location
• Shift work, on-call, and night shifts may be required due to weather conditions
