Job summary

Michaels Stores production site in Mississauga seeks a Production Associate to ensure frames and mats meet customer specifications while moving product through the production process under safety and productivity guidelines.

Responsibilities include inspecting joins and cuts, measuring and cutting foam board, storing items securely, and packing for shipment, with emphasis on quality and safety in a busy production environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent.
• 1 year experience in manufacturing or equipment maintenance.
• Ability to communicate effectively; read a tape measure; read and match number sequences; differentiate quality cuts and joins.

Responsibilities

• Inspect frames and mats for quality and accuracy of joins and cuts.
• Measure, cut, and assemble components per order, ensuring correct sizes and finishes.
• Receive products from trucks, stack and store in racks, and track inventory with RF scanner.
• Prepare frames/mats for shipping with proper packaging and documents.
• Maintain a clean, safe production area and adhere to safety procedures.
