Job summary

Sonora Resort, a Relais & Chateaux property on Sonora Island in British Columbia, is seeking a Dining Room Bartender/Server for a seasonal on-site role. You will contribute to a world-class fine-dining experience in a remote wilderness setting accessible by water taxi from Campbell River.

The position runs April to October with shift work; benefits include gratuities, complimentary meals, staff housing, employee discounts, and more.

Qualifications

• Two years of bartending experience, preferably in fine dining.
• Experience in a live-in resort environment is preferred.
• High School Diploma required; hospitality education is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate service behaviors per Relais & Chateaux expectations.
• Collaborate with beverage team to create seasonal cocktails.
• Greet and seat guests and manage service flow.
• Maintain cleanliness of dining room and stations.
• Know regular and daily menu items and changes.
• Read tickets and deliver to correct seats.
• Keep bar stocked and ready for service.
• Assist with special events and offsite beverage service.
• Work with Dining Room Manager and Sommelier on beverage program.
