Job summary

A natural resources consulting firm is seeking a Field Technician for its Thunder Bay team to support the Forest Resource Inventory data collection program in 2026. Candidates will be involved in rotating shifts outdoors, collecting forest data and maintaining safety protocols in remote conditions. Qualifications

• Degree, diploma, or currently enrolled in Forestry, Natural Resources, Environmental Science, or related discipline.
• Previous work experience in precision forest data collection or other related disciplines.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to all aspects of FRI data collection including tree species identification.
• Work rotating shifts during the season in remote locations.
• Ensure safe access to FRI plot locations often requiring UTV or helicopter.
